THE DREAMER
Disney wasn't afraid to take risks at all because he believed in the future of his films. Walt developed his pioneering spirit from his immigrant parents Ellis and Flor (Call) Disney. He came from a lower middle class family that moved quite frequently around the countries Canada and the U.S. He first started with his company the Laugh-O-Gram Studio in Kansas City which later went bankrupt, but he was never willing to give up without giving it a fighting chance and later created Alice Comedies in 1934 when he hired 750 artists and quadrupled the size of his original budget. The Industry labeled this Disney's Folly and were certain that the production was going to fail, but on December 21, 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs came out and made $8 million on its initial release, four times its cost. This studio led to his success in the animation business.
